Bingo Date Night Ends Unexpectedly

A night at the bingo can be a lot of fun and you hope for the night to end with a surprise if it means you can be the big winner. Even if you can’t be a big bingo winner, spending time with friends is a great joy for many people and often leaves them with plenty of stories to tell the following day. The majority of these stories are not too exciting though but this certainly isn’t the case with one couple who were heading home after an evening out at the bingo.

Bingo then bang!

Old school chums Dan Page and Kylee Weston had been reunited after 10 years apart and were celebrating being rekindled with a night out at the bingo. On the way home, Ms Weston took a corner too sharply and ended up ploughing her car through a wall into a garden. The car rolled and as it did, Mr Page was catapulted through the sunroof, which probably saved him from receiving serious injuries.

Dan Page said after the ordeal; “It’s all a surreal blur. The sunroof wasn’t even open at the time; it must have smashed on the first roll. As a double-glazing salesman I wouldn’t usually condone a flimsy bit of glass – but I’m glad this shattered upon impact. If it hadn’t of then I would have been slammed into the roof and I’d be dead. My luck had not been in for most of the night at the bingo hall – but it certainly did come the end of the night. I can’t believe I’m still walking.”

Ms Weston, upon watching the footage on CCTV said; “When I saw the footage back I just burst into tears I was inches away of rolling the car on top of Dan. I remember in the seconds after it happened I look around and I couldn’t see Dan anywhere. I expected to find him half way down the road and then he just popped up next to the car. I think I just said “bloody hell babe – are you alright?” and he just stood next to the car in shock looking at me. I got out of the car and we just hugged until police arrived.  I couldn’t believe we’d met up again after all these years and I nearly went and killed him.”

Sometimes the luck you need doesn’t come at bingo but actually when you really need it!
