Bingo Boosts Charity Drive

When it comes to bingo, numbers are always important because without them, you wouldn’t have a game to enjoy. Money is also important in bingo because this is what helps to keep the game going. Big bingo sums raised

The Dorset Kidney Fund have been the recipients of bingo funds being raised of late with a grand sum of £625 being provided to the organisation. The money was raised by the family and friends of Brian Richards, who sadly lost his life in January after spending nine years in dialysis. While this would have undoubtedly been a sad time for all that knew Brian, it was decided that they would pull together in an attempt to provide support to the group which provided their dad with a lot of support during his final years.

Brian’s daughter Hazel Richards was the main driver behind the events and she was at the forefront of the bingo games. Bingo is an easy way to get people involved in their local community and there is no doubt that bingo is a fun game for people of all ages. If you are serious about raising funds for a good cause, bingo is definitely one of the ways that you should go about it.

Hazel spoke to local press about the day and the future plans she has to keep supporting the organisation. “It was an amazing day. We all pulled together. We did make quite a good sum. I would have loved it to be more but I am sure that dad is very proud of everyone that helped “We managed to raise £625.80 but hope to match it or beat it at the bingo I am going to be holding on November 3 at the same place. Thank you to everyone that did support us and please come again as one day it may be a loved one of yours that may need the kidney fund’s help or maybe even you.”
