Chart-topper Katy Perry dished to The Sun that her Christian parents who don’t approve of her girl-on-girl anthem “I Kissed A Girl” both have rock star pasts of their own.
According to the Hot N Cold singer, her mother Mary Hudson was a young hippie runaway whose travels lead her into a relationship with legendary rock icon Jimi Hendrix. Katy described their meeting by saying, “He just came up to her in a club and picked her out.”
As for her father Keith Perry, he dealt heavily in LSD and boasted a close friendship with Timothy Leary. “Dad would have died from one tab too many if he hadn’t found God,” Perry dished.
She and Leighton Meester should share an ice cream cone over lunch. They’d have something to talk about…and they could make out, if Leighton is so inclined.
