Table Blackjack – About The Game

This is a classic and enjoyable game of blackjack which is perfect for any type of blackjack player including beginners and experienced players. The object of the game is to get as close to 21 as possible without going bust.

Table Blackjack – Introduction

Blackjack is certainly the world’s most popular game played in casinos all around the world. This game is quick to play, and offers good returns. The player will play directly against the dealer; the hand closest to 21 without exceeding will win. There are many different choices that you can choose throughout the game.

Playing Table Blackjack

In order to win the game you will need to have the value of the cards in your hand that are higher than the dealers without going over 21. You start this by placing a bet. After betting you can then start the game by using the deal button.

When the deal button is pressed, two cards will be dealt to the dealer and the player. Both of the player’s cards will be visible, but one of the dealers will be face down.

All cards are taken at face value, except for face cards which have a value of 10 each, and aces which can be worth either 11 or 1.

If the visible card of the dealer is an Ace then you can decide to take an insurance bet. This can either be declined or accepted. If you do decide to choose the insurance bet then an additional insurance bet which is equal to half of the value of the original bet will be placed. If the dealer has blackjack then your insurance bet will pay out 2:1, but if not the insurance bet will be lost and game play will continue as normal.

If the visible card of the dealer is a card worth 10 then the dealer will check for blackjack straight away, however, you will not be offered the same insurance bet. Insurance bets are only available if the face up card is an ace.

If the dealer has blackjack then the game will end and you will lose the wager you staked. However, if you also have blackjack then this is a push and the original bet will be returned to you automatically.

If neither the player nor the dealer have blackjack then play will continue. If you do have blackjack then you will receive a payout of 3:2 (as long as the dealer does not have blackjack also).

If game play continues as normal then you can choose from several different options. You can click on the hit button to draw extra cards from the deck. You can click this as many times as you want until you want to stop or the value of the cards are 21, or exceed 21. If the value of the cards exceed 21 then your hand will be bust. This will lose your bet.

If you are happy with your hand and do not want to draw any more cards then you can click the stand button. This will then compare the score of your hand to the dealers.

If both of the cards in your hand are the same value then you have the option of splitting them. This will split each of the cards into two separate hands. Splitting is only allowed once per game, it is not possible to split again.

If the card value of the first two cards are under 21 then you will be able to double down the bet. This will double your original bet but limit you to only receiving a single card.

Turbo

If you want to increase the pace of game play then you can click the turbo button. This will cut out a number of different animations which will speed up the process of playing the game. This however will not do anything to change any of the rules. Turbo will be highlighted in red when the option is selected.

Looking at your Hand

The cards in your hand will automatically be totaled up. The total will be displayed in a circle alongside the cards. Every time you draw a new card and this is added to your hand, it will automatically update the score shown at the side of the cards. An ace can be valued as either 1 or 11 and the value will automatically be chosen depending on the maximum amount which will not make your hand bust.

Aces will not be counted as 11 if it would make the hand go over 21.

After you have finished playing your hand by either clicking stand, or reaching 21 then the dealers hand will be played. This starts by revealing the other card of the dealer. If your hand is bust or blackjack then the hand of the dealer will not be played and you will lose your bet.

If the dealers hand totals 17 or more then they will stand and it will be compared against the value of your hand. If it’s less than or equal to 16 then the dealer will draw more cards until the value is 17 or more. If the score of the dealers hand exceeds 21 then he will bust and you will win automatically.

How to place a bet

Before you can play Table Blackjack you will first need to place a wager. Select the increment that you want to bet in by choosing the option at the bottom of the player console. Then to place a bet you can click multiple times in the betting circle.

There are table limits; you must place a bet which is more than the minimum limit and less than the maximum limit.

When you are ready to play you can start this by using the Deal button.

At the end of the game you have an option of starting a new game or choosing the rebet option. If you have enough credits then the rebet option will place the same bet again. Then you can click the deal button to start play again.

The Double Bet button can be used to double the bet that you have currently placed after you have clicked on it. The double bet button is not available if the limit would exceed the limits on the table.

Removing bets from the table can be done by either pressing the clear button to remove all bets, or pressing shift and clicking on individual chips to remove them from play.

Rules for Players

Any player who gets blackjack (2 cards totaling 21) will be paid out 3:2.

The player must stand automatically if the value of the cards in their hand is 21. If the value is over 21 then your hand will be bust.

Double down will only be visible and can only be played if two cards are under 21.

One split per game is allowed, it is not possible to re-split again a second time.

Players are free to decide to double down one or both of a split hand, except for split ace hands.

Blackjack is not available on split hands.

If two aces are split then it’s only possible to receive one additional card per hand.

If you don’t have enough credits to place an insurance bet then this option will not be available.

The double down option will not be displayed if you do not have enough credits.

Players can hold up to a maximum of 11 cards per hand. If the 11 card hand is under 21 then this will automatically beat everything except for dealer blackjack.

Rules for the Dealer

The dealer must continue to draw new cards if the value of their hands is 16 or under.

If the value of the dealers hand is over 17 then the dealer must stand. This will also include a soft 17 which consists of an ace and a six.

An insurance bet will only be available to you if the dealers face up card is Ace.

If the dealer has blackjack then this will automatically end the play. The player will lose their original bet. The only situation where this doesn’t happen is if the player also has a blackjack. This would result in both bets being returned.

General Rules

The game uses six decks of standard cards. These are shuffled at the end of each play for the start of the next game.

Any technical problems, whether on your computer or the website will automatically void all current play.

The games are played in the games console. This gives you a good experience and will also provide lots of useful information.
