This new gym is going to the very first franchise fitness business for Umesh Jivraj, who is a fitness entrepreneur in Wellingborough. He received support from a local bank, securing £168,000 from RBS and matched funding to secure the money he needed to transform the bingo hall into a fitness gym which is looking to have capacity for 1,500 members.
Bingo players could take the chance to get fit
Umesh Jivraj spoke to local media, saying; “I researched various franchise business models and quickly realised Fit4less was the right option for me in terms of return on investment. I am confident I am offering Wellingborough state-of-the-art facilities at an affordable and competitive price which has attracted over 200 members to join already. I have invested my own funds into the franchise alongside financial backing from RBS and cannot thank them enough for their support and belief so far.”
The Relationship Manager from RBS, Adam Lothian, said; “We have supported many franchises over the years and delighted we have helped Umesh with his latest Fit4less venture.”
Perhaps it is a sign of the times that bingo halls, previously seen as the way that people would spend their free time are now being replaced by fitness suites and gyms. There is a big gym and fitness culture in the United Kingdom these days and there is a great deal to be said for providing people with the fitness options that they are looking for.
There is a notable trend for providing affordable gym capabilities and this would appear to be the option being undertaken by Fit4Less, at least if their name is anything to go by.
