Mecca Bingo Reopens
Mecca Bingo has announced a phased reopening of 36 clubs across the country, in compliance with government guidelines, Jonathon Swaine, managing director of retail at Mecca Bingo, said: “We want to reassure the Mecca Bingo community that we are working together to take every precaution necessary to create a safe environment in which to play the nation’s favorite game. “We’re also investing in new entertainment formats in our clubs, to give everyone even better experiences. We are excited to reopen our doors, welcome back our communities and hear ‘House’ called once again.”

New stringent safety standards and cleaning measures have been introduced across all clubs to combat the Covid-19 virus. All tables are constantly cleaned as are all machines and all touchpoints throughout the day. On entering Mecca Clubs visitors are requested to clean their hands using the hand sanitizer stations plus social distancing measures and a capacity cap for each are in place. Contactless and cash payments will be taken for players and food and drink can be ordered using mobile phones or MAX screens at the bingo table For most of Mecca’s Clubs, opening hours have been extended to accommodate a ‘Popingo’ format, which will allow customers to pop in and play for an hour Mecca has also launched a pre-booking service so that customers can book a slot to visit and play.
